Anu Madgavkar, a partner at the McKinsey Global Institute, emphasizes the need for human judgment to avoid errors and bias in AI systems. However, the reality remains that many workers will need to adapt to new roles or risk being displaced by automation.
The trend is evident in recent job cuts announced by major companies. Since May, US firms have announced over 4,600 job cuts related to AI, highlighting the urgency of this issue. As AI continues to advance and integrate into various industries, it is clear that the future of work will require significant adjustments to ensure that workers remain relevant in an increasingly automated landscape.
